Function:
If thermocouples are used to measure temperatures, measuring voltages encountered
will depend upon the type of thermocouple used, upon ambient temperature,
and upon the temperature at the cold ends of thermocouples or equalizing
lines (reference points).
Thus, thermocoupples measure temperature differential. If precise temperature
data are to be obtained, electronic balancing will be required for the
measuring points. Type VSK reference point balancers measure terminal |
temperatures via six Pt 100 sensors. Six electronic circuits can be adjusted
for any reference temperature and all types of thermocouple. EMF values
correspond to the temperature differential between reference and terminal;
EMF source and measuring element will be seriesconnected.
