With CARBOVIS 2.0 software work in a heat treatment department
becomes much simpler. Currently required function like planning, monitoring
and documentation of heat treatment processes are organised by the programme
and starkly simplified by a large number of tools.

charge-related filing and printouts. |
A process item´s heat treatment is determined by lining up so-called technology
steps. This is well adapted to the needs of the practitioner. Furnace-specific
information stored in the data-base is automatically added to the programme
generated by the heat treatment by itself. With the subsequent diffusion
calculation the projected carbon flow in the material can be calculated
in advance.
The software is based on C-level and temperaturecontrollers installed
on the spot. At the start of the process set value programmes are transmitted
to the controller and checked for precision during its course by diffusion
calculation.
In case of variance from the setting, programme periods are subsequently
lengthened or shortened. Communication disturbances betwwen the computer
and the on-site instruments doesnot lead to suspension of the heat treatment.
With the materials data-base, a sophisticated furnace-site management,
the on-line process monitoring with diffusion calculation and charge-related
document management, the user has a well-rounded, practically-oriented
package of tools available for optimising heat treatment.
